The world of small animals
Bears and more
I was really hoping for an encounter with brown bears and groiizzleys in both Canada and Finland. Unfortunately I wasn't lucky, but was rewarded with black bears in Canada and wolverines in Finland!
The wolverine, also known as Gulo gulo, is a shy animal that is often mistaken for a small grizzly but is actually more similar to a marten. With its strong stature and thick fur, it is perfectly adapted to the harsh conditions of its northern forest habitat. They usually only appear at dusk, which makes photography difficult.
Known for its adaptability and intelligence, the black bear is often found in a variety of habitats, from dense forests to mountainous regions.
